Mobile accessibility and comparing products

We often need to remind ourselves that “we are not the users”.

The challenge

The challenge

To create a mobile responsive user interface that enables customers to easily explore features and understand the differences between two product families.

We know that a significant amount of new mobile users are persisting through unfriendly tables in order to get the information they need.

How might we improve the mobile experience of comparing between product features, so that they feel more confident to trial or purchase?

Prototype

This design was somewhat dependant on being able to see a number of critical elements:

- Product name and price

- Features included and not included

- Toggle

It was important that I was able to move quickly into a low-fidelity paper prototype, as I wanted know if the design needed to be heavily adjusted for the iPhone SE.

Because I didn’t have access this type of device, printing it out, cutting it up and sticking it all together allowed me to gauge earlier on whether it was going to work.

It also enabled me to demonstrate my slightly complex idea to use a sticky header and toggle.
